Our Founder : Priti Batra
Priti Batra is a graduate from Miranda House, Delhi University with a post-graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Priti has exceptional market intelligence across the retail and export sector and is sought by industry stalwarts for her immense understanding of the industry know – how.
She has worked extensively with clients evaluating the most viable entry option for start-ups or re-work the HR structure and strategies for established organizations.
During her previous tenure as a Merchandiser at Otto (a German catalogue company) and Impulse India (a buying agency representing top international brands), Priti gauged a huge gap and a burgeoning demand in the placement of the right person at the right job.
In 1997 she started Tab Placements a specialized executive search agency. The focus was to identify both local and international talent for the retailers/brands – buying/sourcing offices within the Apparel and Home Lifestyle categories.
Priti`s distinguishing factor of being able to “speak the language”, understand the buying, sourcing, quality and compliance requirements from a retailers & exporters perspective led to a huge success and many firsts.
Within 2 years of inception, Tab started to place candidates internationally, tied up with various Indian and International retail and manufacturing firms to head-hunt talent for them globally. The associations & partnerships continue till date.
During the early 2000`s India witnessed the emergence of organized retail and the evolution of online shopping. Priti accelerated Tab`s services to partner and consult with Brands, Retailers looking to set up brick and mortar stores within India & further with online-retail start-ups.
Today Tab is one of the foremost search agencies for hiring within the Multi-channel and Omni – channel formats.
